The Lincoln Electric Prism® Mobile with Mechanized Cleaning (K4384-2) represents a significant leap forward in portable industrial hygiene. Designed for facility maintenance, fabrication shops, and welding schools, this low-vacuum system is engineered to capture welding fumes directly at the source. The unit delivers a robust airflow of 735 CFM (cubic feet per minute) through its included 10-foot flexible extraction arm (K2633-6), ensuring that hazardous particulates are removed from the operator's breathing zone before they can disperse into the facility.

RotaPulse® Mechanized Cleaning System

One of the standout technical features of this model is the RotaPulse® automatic filter cleaning system. Unlike passive systems that rely solely on manual filter replacement, RotaPulse utilizes a compressed air connection to periodically pulse the filter. This action dislodges accumulated particulate matter from the filter media, depositing it into a collection bin. This mechanism not only extends the operational lifespan of the main MERV 14 filter but also maintains consistent airflow performance over longer periods, reducing the total cost of ownership and maintenance downtime.

Intelligent Operation and Filtration

The K4384-2 One-Pak is equipped with an integrated Arc Sensor and Lamp Kit. The arc sensor detects the magnetic field or light of the welding arc, automatically engaging the vacuum motor only when welding is in progress. This "smart" operation significantly reduces energy consumption and shop noise levels compared to continuous-run units. The filtration stack includes an internal spark arrestor that functions as a pre-filter for heavy particulate, protecting the primary MERV 14 filter. The MERV 14 rating ensures the capture of up to 84% of sub-micron particles (0.3 to 1 micron), making it highly effective for MIG, TIG, Stick, and Flux-Cored processes.

Industrial Mobility and Design

Built on a rugged chassis measuring 40" x 32" x 48", the Prism Mobile is designed for maneuverability. It features heavy-duty front casters and large rear wheels, allowing operators to easily position the unit near large weldments or move it between workstations. The unit operates on standard 120V, single-phase, 60 Hz power, making it compatible with standard shop outlets without requiring specialized electrical drops.
