It features Diamond Core Technology™, which provides a forgiving arc, excellent out-of-position arc stability, low spatter, and a wide voltage sweet spot for steel, stainless steel, or aluminum. The MAXTRAC® cast aluminum industrial wire drive ensures regulated wire feed speed control and reliable connections. Digital meters display your preset voltage and wire feed speed, and during welding, the actual voltage is shown.
The new Magnum® PRO gun and cable, measuring 15 ft. (4.5 m), make it easy to reach your work. The Copper Plus® contact tips have a larger tip diameter and mass to enhance heat dissipation and increase tip life. Additionally, the POWER MIG® 256 is spool gun ready for the premium Magnum® 250LX gun and can be used with the Magnum® SG (adapter required).
For added convenience, the 208/230V model includes a 115V auxiliary receptacle to power additional equipment in your work area. The welder also has useful features such as the Coil Claw™ Cable Management system, a top-mounted gun expendables tray, and an all-metal case front.
Please note that the POWER MIG® 256 cannot be powered by an engine-driven welder.

I came in for a simple argon bottle swap—not a lesson in surprise fees. If you intend to charge an “environmental fee,” disclose it upfront in your quote. Adding it at checkout is unacceptable. Be transparent or adjust your pricing—don’t hide it.
