Engineered with Miller's proprietary ZoneFlow™ Technology, this 6-inch by 12-foot arm creates a negative pressure zone that extends the particulate capture area to approximately 5 feet from the hood. This is roughly three times the effective capture distance of traditional source-capture arms. By expanding the capture zone, the system allows welders to continue working across larger weldments without the frequent interruption of repositioning the extraction hood, thereby maintaining arc-on time and operational efficiency.

High-Performance Airflow Dynamics

At the core of this extraction system is a high-performance fan capable of generating 1,200 CFM of airflow. Even after accounting for static pressure losses through the arm and ducting, the system delivers an Accu-Rated™ minimum of 875 CFM at the hood intake. This class-leading suction power ensures that hazardous welding fumes, including hexavalent chromium and manganese, are effectively removed from the operator's breathing zone. The arm itself is designed with external adjustments, a critical engineering choice that removes internal obstructions from the airstream. The ZoneFlow motor control box is included, providing precise control over the capture zone functionality.
