These fan-cooled DC welding power sources are designed for high productivity automated submerged-arc welding (SAW) or high productivity gas metal arc welding (GMAW). They are compatible with ESAB's A2-A6 equipment range and the A2-A6 PEK or A2 PEI process controllers. These power sources provide excellent arc stability, regardless of whether the arc voltages are high or low.
Welding parameters can be easily adjusted and monitored using the front panel of the process controller (PEK or PEI). For demanding applications, the welding current range can be expanded by connecting two power sources in parallel.
These power sources are particularly suitable for SAW applications such as wind tower components, nuclear power vessels, boilers, and ship building applications. They are also ideal for GMAW applications, especially when welding the root pass in heavy pipe production.
