This product is a traditional welder/generator that provides up to 500 amps of pure DC output for stick and DC TIG welding applications. It also offers an optional CV adapter for wire welding. The unit features auxiliary power of 120 VAC and 240 VAC single phase, and is powered by a Perkins® 1104A-44 diesel engine with 64.4 hp. Please note that this product is not available in the US, Canada, or EU. Known as the Diesel Workhorse™, this welder is designed for demanding jobs that require high amperage capabilities. It offers 500 amps for DC stick welding and AC power. The SAE-400® is equipped with a heavy duty Perkins® industrial diesel engine, ensuring low maintenance and long lifespan. To expand its functionality, you can add CV-wire welding capability by including the optional CV Adapter.
