The Flextec® 500X/ Flex Feed 84 Ready Pak® multi-process welder is a high-performance welding machine that delivers up to 500 amps of power using innovative inverter technology. Designed for use in shipyards, construction sites, and fabrication shops, this welder is built to be simple and reliable.
Setting up and operating the Flextec 500X is a breeze, making it perfect for both indoor and outdoor applications. With basic pulse MIG capability, this welder offers various weld modes for carbon steel, stainless steel, aluminum, and metalcore electrodes. The inclusion of CrossLinc® technology allows you to control the machine from a distance, eliminating the need for extra control cables.
The Flextec 500X is built to withstand tough conditions, with an IP 23 rating for excellent performance in outdoor environments. It is also Desert Duty® rated, meaning it can operate in even the harshest conditions, up to 55°C. The durable trayed and potted PC boards provide protection for the electronics.
This multi-process power source is flexible and compatible with all 42VAC wire feeders for MIG and FluxCored Flux cored welding. The Arclink® enabled power source offers synergic pulse modes, while the CrossLinc feature allows for remote control of CV and CC processes without additional cables. The optimized Stick welding is suitable for both cellulosic and low hydrogen electrodes, and the touch-start TIG ensures contamination-free starts without high frequency.
CrossLinc technology compatibility offers full functionality without the need for control cables. This feature enables remote procedure setting at the feeder, improving weld quality and reducing the need for frequent trips to the power source for adjustments. With fewer cables cluttering the jobsite, safety is also improved.
