The Idealarc DC1500 multi-process welder is a versatile and high-performing DC arc welding power source designed specifically for automatic welding applications. With outstanding arc characteristics in both constant voltage and constant current processes, this welder offers great welding flexibility in a single power source. Ideal for submerged arc welding and FCAW processes, the DC-1500 ensures exceptional welding performance with its single range full output control potentiometer. When used with Lincoln NA-3 and NA-5 automatic wire feeders, as well as the LT-7 tractor, the precise output of the DC-1500 enhances productivity and quality control. With solid state circuitry for long-lasting repetitive welding applications, this welder also features a full range output voltage control for easy operation and precise output control. The mode switch allows for selecting the desired output characteristics for the specific welding process. Additionally, the line voltage compensation ensures consistent welds even with line voltage changes of up to ±10%. To prevent overheating and current overload, the welder is fan cooled and equipped with electronic and thermostatic protection. The function lights on the printed circuit boards enable speedy diagnostics, while the windings and rectifiers are protected from moisture and corrosive environments. The welder also includes an eight amp fuse protected 115V wire feeder auxiliary power with a capacity of 1000 volt-amps. Backed by a three-year warranty on parts and labor, and a seven-year warranty on the power rectifier, the DC1500 is manufactured under a quality system certified to ISO 9001 requirements and ISO 14001 environmental standards.

I came in for a simple argon bottle swap—not a lesson in surprise fees. If you intend to charge an “environmental fee,” disclose it upfront in your quote. Adding it at checkout is unacceptable. Be transparent or adjust your pricing—don’t hide it.
