The Thermal Dynamics ® Cutmaster® 82 with SL60® 75 Degree hand torch Plasma Cutter is a powerful tool designed for heavy fabrication, manufacturing, and contractor use. It provides a precise and efficient cutting experience with a maximum cutting thickness of 1 1/2".
This cutter operates at an input of 460 V, single phase, 50/60 Hz and has an output range of 20 - 80 A. Its recommended cutting capacity is 3/4", with a pierce rating of 5/8". The amperage draw is 72 A at 230 V.
The package includes a power supply, 20' lead, SL60 torch with a 75 deg head, 10' input power cable without plug, work cable and clamp, spare parts kit, and an operating manual. The cutter itself measures 15" X 12" X 24".
With an air pressure of 70 psi and a 6.7 cfm flow, this cutter offers a duty cycle of 40% at 80 A, 60% at 65 A, and 100% at 55A. The Yes guard bar provides durability and easy transportation.
The front panel of the cutter houses all the controls, which are conveniently color-coded. LED indicators display pressure status and setup errors. This lightweight cutter features a 60 A drag tip for enhanced precision, while the trigger latch reduces hand fatigue during long cuts.
A notable feature of this cutter is its multiple voltage design, allowing operation from 208 - 480 V. The storage compartment provides a convenient space for spare parts and consumables. Additionally, the 1 Torch with ATC disconnect enables the addition of lead extensions or conversion into a machine torch.
The autopilot restart quickly initiates the pilot arc, making it easy to cut expanded metals. The cutter can be controlled either by hand torch switch or hand pendant control, offering flexibility and ease of use.

I came in for a simple argon bottle swap—not a lesson in surprise fees. If you intend to charge an “environmental fee,” disclose it upfront in your quote. Adding it at checkout is unacceptable. Be transparent or adjust your pricing—don’t hide it.
