This unit operates on arc voltage sensing technology, drawing its power directly from the welding arc (15-110V DC), making it compatible with a vast array of DC power sources, including both Constant Voltage (CV) and Constant Current (CC) machines.

Engineered for durability, the K449 features a fully enclosed, high-impact, flame-retardant molded case that protects the internal wire drive mechanism and wire spool from moisture, dust, and physical damage common in shipyards, pipelines, and construction sites. The unit incorporates Lincoln's patented MAXTRAC® wire drive system, which utilizes dual gear-driven rolls to ensure consistent feeding performance even with long gun cables or difficult wire paths. The split wire guide system and tool-less drive roll changes minimize downtime during maintenance or consumable changeovers.

The LN-25 is equipped with a gas solenoid valve as standard, enabling immediate setup for gas-shielded processes.
