The ARCAIR-Matic® N-7500 Gouging System is designed to enhance productivity in metal fabrication operations that involve a significant amount of gouging and welding work. It is hailed as the most advanced air carbon-arc gouging/grooving system worldwide. With this system, you can expect higher yields of top-quality end products, remarkable reductions in man-hours and process costs, and expanded areas of applicability.
Our system includes a Remote Pendant that allows welders/operators to have complete control over the gouging operation, right in their hands. They can easily determine gouge parameters, start/stop the function, set travel delays, and manually feed or retract the electrode in the Torch Head. Additionally, welders/operators can conveniently monitor the amperage and voltage during the gouging sequence while keeping the electrode on the weld seam being back gouged.
The N7500 Torch Head eliminates the need for stocking or changing contact shoe assemblies when changing electrode sizes. It accommodates the entire range of Arcair® gouging electrodes, from 5/16" (7.9 mm) through 3/4" (19.1 mm). With the Power Supply "contactor" in our gouging system, the gouging current only flows when the welder/operator presses the "start" button on the Remote Pendant. This provides safety and ease of use.
Our system easily connects to various power supplies in the industry, ensuring compatibility and ease of integration. It also guarantees conformity to pre-determined groove depth and width specifications. By utilizing the "Parameter Guide" option on the Remote Pendant, welders/operators can access recommended amperage and travel speed for their chosen electrode and gouge depth.
One standout feature is the unique "travel delay" function, which ensures excellent groove geometry at the beginning of the gouge, eliminating the need for a starting pad and preventing a sloped groove. To emphasize safety, the system includes no current detect and low voltage functions that activate shutdown in the presence of these conditions, ensuring groove quality and protecting the equipment and work.
The redesigned Torch Head boasts an extended front end, providing better visibility for welders/operators during the gouging operation. This ensures that the electrode is always maintained in the correct position relative to the weld seam.
