FlexFeed 84 is a Dual wire drive bench feeder that offers rugged and reliable engineering. It provides consistent feeding over long conduit runs and has the ability to handle large-diameter wires, surpassing the capacity of other competitors. The inclusion of gun adapters ensures superior electrical connections, reducing voltage drops and simplifying connections. The wire drive circuit board is encapsulated to ensure maximum protection from the elements.
In terms of process control, the FlexFeed 84 offers a digital preset for voltage and wire feed speed. It allows users to save repeated procedures in up to four user memories and set process limits with passcode security. Additionally, it displays the actual voltage and current while welding for enhanced monitoring.
Safety is a priority with the FlexFeed 84. Single wire drive models can be equipped with an electrically isolated stud for arc gouging operations, while the dual wire drive model can be ordered with a Power Path™ contactor that isolates the non-active wire drive and gun. Furthermore, it incorporates a user-selectable wire retract function that physically retracts the wire into the nozzle to prevent operator injury.
The FlexFeed 84 features an advanced MaxTrac® wire drive design with a rugged cast aluminum feed plate that protects the wire and ensures consistent wire feeding. The inclusion of patented tool-less drive rolls makes adjustments and maintenance quick and easy, while the patented tool-less split wire guides prevent birdnesting and ensure uninterrupted feed. The modular design offers flexibility, allowing it to be configured for single, dual, bench, or boom setups based on changing workspace needs. It also provides two available wire reel stands for standard or heavy-duty use. Lastly, it has a built-in interface for hard automation.
