This component is critical for maintaining the static pressure and airflow velocity required for effective source-capture fume extraction. The cartridge utilizes a high-grade polyester filtration media, which offers distinct mechanical advantages over traditional cellulose or paper-based filters. Polyester provides superior resistance to moisture and higher tensile strength, preventing media collapse under the high vacuum pressures generated by the X-Tractor motors.

A key specification of this filter is its expansive surface area of 30.1 square feet (approximately 2.8 square meters). This large media area is pleated to fit within the compact housing of the X-Tractor unit, maximizing the air-to-cloth ratio.
