The ball bearing V-wheels ride on hardened steel rails that are mounted on an aluminum base structure, ensuring durability and stability. The covered recirculating ball screws are driven by totally enclosed DC gear motors, providing efficient and reliable operation (freewheeling on the compact ST40).
Our CS450 cross slide assembly is a heavy-duty option suitable for single or twin arc applications. With a reverse motor mount option, it allows for close proximity welding with two systems. The available stroke lengths range from 3 to 10 inches, depending on the model, providing versatility for both vertical and horizontal movement. Additionally, the CS450 Cross Slide offers a fast travel speed (slew rate) of 17 inches per minute.
