The Arc Products™ cross slide assembly is specially designed for use with MS, Motorized, or ST, Seam Tracking Controls. It is ideal for mounting submerged arc or GMAW single or tandem welding arc equipment. These cross slides allow for precise manipulation of the arc in both the horizontal and vertical axes. With their robust construction, compact and lightweight design, and various mounting options, these cross slides offer fabrication shops the opportunity to benefit from the advantages of hard automation in their welding processes. The cross slides are built with ball bearing V-wheels that glide on hardened steel rails mounted on an aluminum base structure. The covered recirculating ball screws are driven by enclosed DC gear motors (freewheeling on the compact ST40 model). The CS40 model, which is recommended for MIG applications with small loads or limited space, can support up to 40 lbs. at 6 inches from the adapter plate. The CS40 Cross Slide also offers fast travel speeds with a slew rate of 24 ipm.
