Activ8X semiautomatic wire feeders are designed for easy portability in shipbuilding, offshore, or construction welding operations. The Activ8X portable wire feeder with Crosslinc Technology is compact enough to fit through manways and light enough to be carried around the site. With CrossLinc Technology, it allows for remote control of the power source without the need for control cables. This technology includes True Voltage Technology™ (TVT™), which ensures that the voltage you set at the arc remains consistent, even when you are hundreds of feet away from the power source. The Activ8X wire feeder is built to withstand tough conditions, with an impact-resistant and flame retardant case. The potted PC boards provide optimal moisture and corrosion protection. The feeder's Maxtrac® Wire Drive System, made of heavy-duty cast aluminum, offers reliable feeding and durability. Additionally, the tachometer feedback ensures accurate wire feed speed. This feeder is the lightest construction feeder available on the market, and it accepts up to 8-inch (203mm) diameter wire spools. Taking advantage of CrossLinc Technology, the Activ8X allows for remote output control over the welding leads without the need for control cables. The True Voltage Technology (TVT) feature automatically compensates for voltage drops across long welding cables.
