At the core of the M-100's design is a focus on welder comfort and component longevity. The gun features a single-piece, high-impact handle that is virtually indestructible, providing a secure grip that withstands the rigors of the shop floor. To further enhance ergonomics, the assembly includes a 360-degree rotatable gooseneck. This feature allows the operator to adjust the angle of the neck to suit the specific welding position, reducing wrist strain and improving access to difficult joints without twisting the cable.
Technically, the M-100 is rated for 100 amps at a 100% duty cycle when using CO2 shielding gas, and a 60% duty cycle with mixed gases. It comes pre-configured with a 10-foot (3-meter) cable and is set up to run .030 to .035 inch (0.8–0.9 mm) wire right out of the box. The internal construction utilizes a brass contact tip adapter which prevents galling, sticking, and thread stripping—common issues in inferior guns.
