This Tweco® Coarse Threaded Brass Nozzle is designed for optimal performance in light to medium duty welding applications up to 250 A. With a 0.625" bore size and a 3.183" length, this nozzle is perfect for use with standard gas diffusers. The part number is conveniently rolled stamped on the outside surface, allowing for easy identification.
Made from a durable copper alloy, this nozzle features a 3-piece design that eliminates the need for an additional insulator. The nozzle housing is meticulously cut and formed from 122 DHP copper alloy tubing, while the nozzle insert is machined from solid brass. The nozzle insulator is crafted from high-quality silicone material, providing the necessary electrical insulation from the gas diffuser.
The nozzle insert allows for internal thread machining to ensure a perfect fit with the gas diffuser. It threads onto a standard EL gas diffuser, offering electrical insulation as required. Each pack includes two nozzles for convenience.
Different tip variations are available for different welding needs. Recessed Tips are ideal for higher heat applications or situations where the nozzle may come into contact with the work piece. Flush Tips are used for shorter electrical stick-out and tighter arc lengths, while Protruding Tips are suitable for tight weld joints or open root pipe welding. However, it is important to note that using protruding tips increases the risk of arcing and potential damage to front end parts, resulting in necessary downtime for replacement. This nozzle attaches securely to the gas diffuser using threaded installation.
