The Tweco® Coarse Threaded Copper Nozzle is designed for use in medium to heavy duty welding applications up to 450 A. With a 0.625" bore size, this nozzle is ideal for standard gas diffusers. Made from copper alloy, it features a 3-piece design that eliminates the need for an additional insulator. The part number is conveniently rolled stamped on the external surface for easy identification.
The nozzle housing is cut and formed from 122 DHP copper alloy tubing, while the nozzle insert is machined from solid brass. The nozzle insulator is constructed from silicone material, providing the necessary electrical insulation from the gas diffuser. The nozzle insert allows for internal thread machining to match the gas diffuser. It threads onto a standard EL gas diffuser, offering the required electrical insulation from the gas diffuser using the nozzle insulator.
Each pack contains two nozzles. The 3.25" nozzle with a 0.875" OD is available in different variations to suit varying welding requirements. Recessed tips are suitable for higher heat applications and when a longer electrical stick-out is needed. Flush tips are used when a shorter electrical stick-out is required, resulting in shorter/tighter arc lengths. Protruding tips are best for welding in tight spaces but carry the risk of the tip arcing to the work piece, potentially causing damage and downtime.
