OVERVIEW

The Tweco® Self Insulated Slip-On Copper Nozzle is the perfect choice for your welding needs. With a 0.375" bore size, it fits standard gas diffusers with ease. This 3.138" nozzle, featuring a 0.875" OD, is ideal for light to medium duty welding applications up to 250 A.

Identifying the part number is a breeze with the rolled stamp on the external surface. Made from durable copper alloy, this nozzle has a 3-piece design that eliminates the need for an additional insulator. It consists of a housing cut and formed from 122 DHP copper alloy tubing, a nozzle insert machined from solid brass, and a nozzle insulator constructed from silicone material.

The nozzle insert is securely crimped in place, allowing the nozzle to slide over the metal spring of the gas diffuser. With threads on the standard EL gas diffuser, this nozzle provides the necessary electrical insulation using the nozzle insulator.

Each pack includes two nozzles for your convenience. The part number is rolled stamped on the outside surface for easy identification. The 3-piece design eliminates the need for an additional insulator. The nozzle housing is cut and formed from 122 DHP copper alloy tubing. The nozzle insulator is made from G7 silicone material, ensuring the required electrical insulation from the gas diffuser. The nozzle insert is machined from solid brass and securely crimped in place to allow for smooth sliding over the gas diffuser's metal spring.

When it comes to tips, recessed tips are recommended for higher heat applications, where longer electrical stick-out is needed or when the nozzle may come into contact with the work piece (tack, spot, and stitch). Flush tips are great for shorter electrical stick-out, resulting in shorter and tighter arc lengths, bringing the tip closer to the work piece. Protruding tips are perfect for welding open root pipes or joints that require access to tight weld joints. However, it is important to note that using protruding tips runs the risk of arcing the tip to the work piece, potentially damaging front end parts and requiring downtime for replacement.
