The Tweco® Coarse Threaded Brass Nozzle is designed for easy identification with its part number rolled stamped on the outside surface. This 3-piece design eliminates the need for an additional insulator. The nozzle housing is made from 122 DHP copper alloy tubing, providing durability and strength. The nozzle insulator is constructed from g7 silicone material, ensuring the necessary electrical insulation from the gas diffuser. The nozzle insert is machined from a solid brass alloy, allowing for internal thread matching with the gas diffuser.
This nozzle threads onto a standard EL gas diffuser, providing a secure fit. It is sold in packs of 2. The recessed tips are perfect for higher heat applications where longer electrical stick-out is required or when the nozzle may touch the workpiece. On the other hand, flush tips are ideal for situations where a shorter electrical stick-out is used, resulting in a tighter arc length. Protruding tips are suitable for welding open root pipes or tight weld joints that require the welder to access difficult areas. However, there is a risk of arcing the tip to the workpiece, which can cause damage to the front-end parts, leading to downtime for replacement.
