The Tweco® 14 Series Standard Duty Copper Gas Diffuser is a versatile tool for welding applications. It is compatible with No.3/4 MIG gun series and eliminator front-end consumables. This gas diffuser is designed to handle medium to heavy duty welding tasks, providing up to 450 A of power.
Featuring a 1.25" size and a 3/8"-24UNF-2A thread, this gas diffuser is equipped with six 0.094" gas holes. For easy identification, the part number is rolled stamped on the external surface, along with the overall length. Made from 360-brass alloy bar stock, this gas diffuser maintains consistent dimensional stability.
The gas diffuser also includes a conduit set screw, which securely holds the conduit liner in place. It is designed with a threaded conductor tube that is compatible with MIG guns. This pack includes five gas diffusers, making it a convenient option for welding professionals.
With various tip options available, this gas diffuser caters to different welding needs. The recessed tips are suitable for higher heat applications and situations that require longer electrical stick-out or when the nozzle may touch the workpiece. On the other hand, flush tips are perfect for shorter electrical stick-out, resulting in shorter and tighter arc lengths.
For specific welding scenarios, protruding tips are recommended, especially when welding open root pipes or tight weld joints. However, it is important to note that this may increase the risk of arcing the tip to the workpiece, potentially causing damage to front end parts. Consequently, downtime may be required to replace these parts.
