The Tweco® Eliminator® Series Brass Gas Diffuser is designed to be used with slip-on nozzle assemblies and is compatible with the 350 A Tweco® Eliminator® MIG gun series as well as eliminator front-end consumables. This gas diffuser offers exceptional electrical properties, making it an excellent choice for light to medium duty standard welding applications up to 350 A. It has a thread size of M11 x 1.5-6g and features six 0.094" gas holes. The gas diffuser is equipped with a spiral ring that provides a smooth surface for the slip-on nozzle assemblies to easily slide over. Additionally, it has a part number rolled stamped on the external surface for easy identification and comes with the proper threaded size conductor tube for compatibility with MIG guns. The gas diffuser includes a silicon O-ring that ensures a secure seal against the nozzle assembly. Sold in packs of five, this gas diffuser is a reliable and convenient choice. It is machined from 360 brass alloy bar stock to maintain consistent dimensional stability and is also equipped with a replacement O-ring part number EL52-1 (1560-1108). As for the design of the tips, recessed tips are suitable for high-heat applications that require longer electrical stick-out or when the nozzle may come into contact with the work piece. Flush tips, on the other hand, are ideal for applications where a shorter electrical stick-out is used, resulting in shorter and tighter arc lengths. Finally, protruding tips are recommended for welding open root pipe or any joint that requires the welder to access a tight welding joint. However, it is important to note that using protruding tips carries the risk of arcing the tip to the work piece, potentially causing damage to the front end parts and requiring downtime for replacement.
