The Tweco® 16 Series Heavy Duty Tapered Contact Tip is specifically designed for heavy duty welding applications up to 600 A. It is compatible with 0.035" wire and is perfect for use with 350 - 600 A Tweco® Spray Master® and Tweco® No.6 MIG guns, as well as specific MIG gun series.
This contact tip is made from high-quality extruded or gun-drilled 122 DHP copper alloy, which provides excellent electrical properties. It is machined from a copper alloy tubing to ensure a consistent and smooth inside diameter surface, with a +/-0.003" tolerance.
Featuring a threaded style, the contact tip ensures proper contact with a gas diffuser when installed to the MIG gun. It is available in slip-on or thread-on nozzle styles, with different bore sizes to choose from.
The contact tip is designed to lock in place when twisted, offering increased surface contact and better electrical conductivity. Its thick-walled design acts as a heat sink, efficiently conducting heat away from the arc source.
When the tip wear point is reached, simply twist it a quarter turn clockwise to expose a new wear point, effectively doubling the life of the tip. Each contact tip is marked for easy identification and it is sold in packs of 25.
