The Tweco® 16 Series Standard Aluminum Contact Tip is designed to accommodate 3/64" wire and is compatible with Tweco® Spray Master® and Tweco® No.6 MIG guns, as well as certain MIG gun series. This contact tip is specifically designed for heavy duty welding applications up to 600 A, offering excellent electrical properties. It is easily identifiable with its part number and wire diameter, making it convenient to use.
Made from extruded or gun-drilled 122 DHP copper alloy, the contact tip is machined from a copper alloy tubing to ensure a consistent and smooth inside diameter surface with a tolerance of +/-0.003". The threaded style of the contact tip ensures proper contact with a gas diffuser when installed to the MIG gun. Slip-on or thread-on nozzle styles are available, allowing for a choice of diameter bore sizes.
Featuring a twist-lock mechanism, the contact tip securely locks in place, providing increased surface contact and better electrical conductivity. Additionally, its thick-walled design acts as a heat sink, effectively conducting heat away from the arc source. When the tip wear point is reached, simply twist it a quarter turn clockwise to reveal a new wear point, effectively doubling the life of the tip.
Sold in packs of 25, each contact tip is marked with its part number and wire diameter for easy identification.
