The Tweco® 15 Series Heavy Duty Contact Tip is a perfect choice for heavy duty welding applications up to 500 A. It is designed to accommodate 7/64" wire and is compatible with the 200 - 500 A Tweco® No. 5 MIG guns, as well as specific MIG gun series.
This contact tip features excellent electrical properties and is made from extruded or gun-drilled 122 DHP copper alloy, ensuring a consistent and smooth inside diameter surface with a +/- 0.003" tolerance. Its threaded style guarantees proper contact with a gas diffuser when installed to the MIG gun.
The contact tip has a 1.97" length and a 5/16"-18 UNC-2A thread size, with a 0.12" nominal ID and 0.345" OD. It can be easily identified with its part number and wire diameter markings.
It is designed with a twist-lock mechanism, providing increased surface contact for better electrical conductivity. Additionally, its thick-walled design acts as a heat sink, effectively conducting heat away from the arc source.
By twisting the contact tip a quarter turn clockwise, a new wear point is revealed, effectively doubling the life of the tip. Each pack contains 25 contact tips.
