OVERVIEW

The Tweco® 14 Series Standard Duty Contact Tip is designed to accommodate 1/16" wire and is compatible with the 200 - 400 A Tweco® No.2, No.3, No.4 MIG guns, as well as select MIG gun series. This contact tip is perfect for standard welding applications up to 400 A and offers excellent electrical properties. It is easy to identify with its part number and wire diameter markings.

The contact tip measures 1 1/2" in length and has a 1/4"-28 UNF-2A thread size, a 0.073" nominal ID, and a 1/4" OD. It is made from extruded or gun-drilled 122 DHP copper alloy, ensuring a consistent and smooth surface inside diameter with a tolerance of +/-0.003".

The threaded style of the contact tip ensures proper contact with a gas diffuser when installed in the MIG gun. It is available in slip-on or thread-on nozzle styles, providing a choice of diameter bore sizes. The contact tip securely locks in place when twisted, offering better electrical conductivity and increased surface contact.

Its thick-walled design acts as a heat sink, effectively conducting heat away from the arc source. When the tip wear point is reached, the contact tip can be twisted a quarter turn clockwise to reveal a new wear point, effectively doubling the tip's lifespan.

The contact tip is sold in packs of 25 and can be easily identified with its part number and wire diameter markings. It offers excellent electrical properties and is machined from a copper alloy tubing to provide a consistent and smooth inside diameter surface.

There are no threads to worry about, and the contact tip ensures proper contact with a gas diffuser when installed in the MIG gun. By twisting it a quarter turn clockwise, it securely locks in place.

To maximize the quality of your welds and the lifespan of your gun, it is recommended to use genuine Tweco® accessories, parts, and consumables. When the tip wear point is reached, simply twist it half a turn counter-clockwise to expose a new wear point, effectively doubling the lifespan of the tip.

The thick-walled diffuser design acts as a heat sink, dissipating heat away from the arc source. This not only increases the electrical conductive surface area but also improves electrical conductivity.
