The Tweco® 11 Series Standard Duty Tapered Contact Tip is specifically designed for welding applications. It is compatible with 0.035" wire and can be used with various Tweco® MIG guns, including the Spray Master®, mini MIG Gun, and No.1 MIG guns. With excellent electrical properties, this contact tip is ideal for standard welding applications up to 200 A.
Each contact tip is marked with a part number and wire diameter for easy identification. It measures 1" in length and has an M6 X 1.0-6g thread size, a 0.044" nominal ID, and a 1/4" OD. Made from extruded or gun-drilled 122 DHP copper alloy, the contact tip offers a consistent and smooth surface on the inside diameter, with a tolerance of +/-0.003".
The threaded style of the contact tip ensures proper contact with a gas diffuser when installed on the MIG gun. It also comes in slip-on or thread-on nozzle styles, providing options for different diameter bore sizes. When twisted, the contact tip locks in place, offering increased surface contact for better electrical conductivity.
The thick-walled design of the contact tip acts as a heat sink, effectively conducting and dissipating heat away from the arc source. When the tip wear point is reached, it can be twisted a quarter turn clockwise to reveal a new wear point, effectively doubling the tip's lifespan.
