SURFOX electrolyte solutions are formulated with a mineral acid as their primary ingredient. Neutralization is crucial in order to halt the effects of this acid during electrochemical and electro polishing procedures. Failing to neutralize the acid completely will result in continued interaction with the stainless steel surface. Simply rinsing with water is insufficient for proper neutralization as it only serves to dilute the acid. To effectively neutralize and clean, we recommend using SURFOX-T and SURFOX Renew, while SURFOX-G is ideal for general cleaning purposes.
