The Miller XMT 650 ArcReach 575V (907845) is engineered for the most demanding industrial environments, offering a robust 650 amps of rated output at 100% duty cycle. Designed to replace legacy transformer-rectifier systems like the Dimension 650, this inverter-based power source provides superior arc performance across a wide range of processes, including MIG (GMAW), Flux-Cored (FCAW), Stick (SMAW), DC TIG (GTAW), and Submerged Arc (SAW). It is particularly effective for air carbon arc gouging, delivering up to 800 amps of usable power to handle 3/8-inch carbons with ease.

ArcReach® Communication Technology

This unit features Miller's exclusive ArcReach technology, which utilizes existing weld cables to communicate voltage and wire feed speed adjustments between the power source and compatible feeders or remotes. This eliminates the need for fragile control cords, which are prone to damage in harsh field conditions. By allowing operators to adjust parameters at the point of welding, the system significantly reduces downtime associated with walking back to the power source, thereby increasing arc-on time and overall efficiency.

Advanced Environmental Protection

Built to withstand the elements, the XMT 650 incorporates Wind Tunnel Technology™, which directs internal airflow over electrical components that require cooling while shielding sensitive electronics from dirt, dust, and debris. Complementing this is the Fan-On-Demand™ system, which operates the cooling fan only when necessary. This reduces the amount of airborne contaminants pulled into the machine, lowers noise levels, and minimizes energy consumption. The unit is housed in an all-aluminum case for superior corrosion resistance.

Intelligent Process Control

The Auto-Process Select™ feature ensures the machine is always in the correct mode. If the power source is set to gouging and an ArcReach feeder is connected, the system automatically switches to MIG/FCAW mode. Upon disconnection, it reverts to the previous settings, preventing inadvertent process errors. With a wide output range of 10 to 815 amps and 10 to 65 volts, the XMT 650 provides precise control for both power-intensive heavy fabrication and delicate weldments.
