The 1/8" Zirconiated Tungsten Electrodes (White) are engineered to meet the rigorous demands of industrial AC TIG welding. Composed of tungsten with a small percentage of zirconium oxide (ZrO2), these electrodes are specifically designed to excel in applications involving aluminum and magnesium alloys. Unlike pure tungsten, Zirconiated electrodes offer a higher resistance to contamination and minimize the risk of tungsten spitting, ensuring a cleaner weld pool and superior radiographic quality.

One of the primary technical advantages of this electrode is its ability to retain a balled end during operation, which is critical for maintaining a stable arc in Alternating Current (AC) processes. The 1/8-inch diameter allows for significant current carrying capacity, making it suitable for medium-to-heavy gauge materials.
