The 45V26 Gas Lens is a critical component for precision Gas Tungsten Arc Welding (GTAW), designed specifically for use with 3/32-inch (2.4mm) tungsten electrodes. Unlike standard collet bodies which can produce turbulent gas flow, this gas lens utilizes a multi-layered fine mesh screen to rectify the shielding gas stream. This process transforms turbulent flow into a coherent, laminar column of gas that envelops the weld pool more effectively. By stabilizing the gas stream, the 45V26 significantly reduces the risk of atmospheric contamination, porosity, and oxidation, particularly when welding reactive alloys such as stainless steel, titanium, and Inconel.

Engineered for compatibility, this component fits all standard 17, 18, and 26 series TIG torches, including air-cooled (WP-17, WP-26) and water-cooled (WP-18) models. The body is machined from high-grade brass and copper alloys to ensure optimal electrical conductivity and thermal management during high-amperage duty cycles. The installation of a gas lens requires a compatible gas lens insulator (typically part number 54N01) and allows for the use of larger gas lens nozzles (54N series), which further enhances coverage.
