Built to withstand the rigors of industrial use, the VTS253A-320 features a die-forged brass body and a high-strength brass spring housing cap. The internal mechanism includes a 1.3-inch to 1.75-inch fabric-reinforced neoprene diaphragm that provides exceptional sensitivity and long service life. A precision-machined nozzle and a stem-type seat mechanism ensure a tight seal and optimum flow control. The regulator is equipped with a sintered bronze inlet filter, electroless nickel-plated to resist corrosion and prevent debris from entering the high-pressure seat assembly.

The regulator utilizes a stainless steel ball in the key and a Delrin insert bushing, which work together to reduce friction, allowing for smooth and precise pressure adjustments. The 2-inch steel gauges are clear and easy to read, displaying cylinder contents (up to 4000 PSIG range) and delivery pressure (up to 30 PSIG range). An external self-reseating relief valve is integrated into the design to provide over-pressure protection, although it is not intended to replace downstream safety devices.
