Constructed for industrial longevity, the VTS250A-580 features a die-forged brass body and a matching brass spring housing cap. This heavy-duty construction ensures high strength and resistance to deformation. The internal seating mechanism utilizes a stem-type design to aid in positive sealing, while a stainless steel ball in the adjustment key minimizes friction for smooth operation. The diaphragm assembly comprises a 1.3-inch and a 1.75-inch fabric-reinforced neoprene diaphragm, selected for their sensitivity and durability. A Delrin insert bushing is integrated into the cap to further enhance durability and ease of adjustment.
The regulator manages flow with a precision-machined nozzle, offering a flow coefficient (Cv) of 0.082. To protect the internal components, an electroless nickel-plated bronze sintered inlet filter is employed to trap particulates. Safety is addressed with an external self-reseating relief valve (note: not designed to protect downstream equipment). The assembly includes two 2-inch steel gauges: a 4000 PSIG inlet gauge to monitor cylinder contents and a 30 PSIG outlet gauge for precise delivery settings. The outlet connection is a 5/8"-18 RH(F).
