Unlike standard regulators, the SR312 is constructed with a machined aluminum body and housing cap, specifically designed to manage the thermal characteristics of CO2 expansion. The unit features a unique design incorporating aluminum heat sink fins that facilitate thermal exchange, significantly reducing the risk of regulator freeze-up during prolonged high-flow operations.
