The Victor SR311 (SKU: 0781-0353) is a specialized high-capacity flowmeter regulator engineered specifically for carbon dioxide (CO2) applications. Unlike standard regulators that may struggle with the thermodynamic properties of CO2 during rapid expansion, the SR311 is constructed with a machined aluminum body featuring integrated heat sink fins. These fins significantly increase the surface area of the regulator, allowing it to absorb ambient heat and dissipate the cold generated by the gas expansion process. This passive thermal management system enables high flow rates of up to 100 SCFH without the risk of freeze-up or flow fluctuation, all without requiring an electrical heater.

Designed for use with standard non-siphoned (gas phase) CO2 cylinders, this unit is ideal for industrial environments requiring consistent shielding gas delivery, such as core wire welding. The regulator operates with a maximum inlet pressure of 1500 PSIG and provides a preset outlet pressure of 80 PSIG. The delivery flow range is adjustable between 25 and 100 SCFH, monitored via a clear 2-inch brass gauge. Internal components include a stem-type seat mechanism and a robust 1.75-inch fabric-reinforced neoprene diaphragm, ensuring long service life and reliable pressure control.

Safety and durability are paramount in the SR311 design. It includes a sintered bronze inlet filter to prevent particulate contamination and an external self-reseating relief valve (note: not designed to protect downstream equipment). The inlet connection is a standard CGA 320, and the outlet is a CGA 032 (5/8" - 18 RH Female), making it compatible with standard welding gas hoses and equipment.
