The Smith Series 40 Heavy-Duty Oxygen Regulator (Model 40-175-540S) is engineered for the most demanding industrial environments, offering precise pressure control and exceptional durability. Designed to handle high gas flows, this single-stage regulator features a maximum delivery pressure of 175 PSIG and is rated for inlet pressures up to 3000 PSIG. It is constructed with a rugged forged brass body and a nickel-plated bonnet, ensuring long-lasting resistance to corrosion and wear in harsh shop conditions.

A standout feature of the Series 40 is the exclusive Sure Seat™ filtered seat technology. The high-pressure seat is encapsulated by a super-fine 15-micron nickel-plated bronze filter, which prevents external debris from contaminating the seating surface. This design addresses the number one cause of regulator failure, dramatically extending the service life of the unit. Additionally, the regulator utilizes a stainless steel diaphragm, making it suitable for use with liquid (cryogenic) gases and eliminating the need for diaphragm replacement in the event of over-pressurization.

Performance-wise, the 40-175-540S excels with extremely accurate outlet pressure regulation, boasting a decay/rise rate of only 0.4 PSIG outlet rise per 100 PSIG tank pressure decay.
