Critical to its operation is the convoluted stainless steel diaphragm. Unlike flat diaphragms, this convoluted design offers superior sensitivity and response to pressure changes, minimizing hysteresis and ensuring a stable delivery pressure even as the cylinder decays. The diaphragm utilizes a metal-to-metal seal, eliminating the need for elastomeric seals that can outgas or degrade over time, thereby guaranteeing maximum leak integrity essential for maintaining gas purity levels.
