The Miller Smith 620 Series Silverline High Purity Brass Two Stage Regulator is engineered for analytical and process applications where gas purity and pressure stability are non-negotiable. Designed specifically for non-corrosive gases, this model features a CGA 320 inlet tailored for Carbon Dioxide service. The core of the 620 Series is its commitment to maintaining the integrity of the gas stream. Unlike standard industrial regulators that may utilize elastomeric diaphragms, this unit employs a stainless steel diaphragm. This material choice eliminates the risk of outgassing or absorption, ensuring that the gas delivered to your instrument or process remains as pure as the source.

Advanced Two-Stage Architecture

Pressure stability is critical in high-precision environments. This regulator utilizes a two-stage design, which steps down the high inlet pressure (up to 3500 PSIG) in two distinct phases. This architecture provides a constant outlet pressure regardless of fluctuations in the supply cylinder. As a cylinder drains, single-stage regulators often exhibit a "decay" or rising outlet pressure; the 620 Series eliminates this variable, delivering a steady 0-25 PSIG output from full tank to empty. This low-pressure range allows for exceptionally fine adjustments, making it suitable for sensitive downstream equipment.

Robust Construction and Safety

The body is machined from brass bar stock and finished with nickel plating, offering both durability and diffusion resistance. The internal design features a metal-to-metal seal between the body and the diaphragm, removing the need for gaskets that could introduce contaminants. For safety and venting requirements, the bonnet includes a capturable 1/16" FNPT vent port. Additionally, the regulator is designed to withstand internal vacuums, facilitating effective purging operations without damaging the internal components. A 316 stainless steel filter is integrated to protect the seat from particulate damage, extending the service life of the unit.
