Construction and Durability

Unlike traditional flowmeters that utilize fragile glass tubes, the GRF400-580 features a flowtube constructed from impact-resistant Lexan™. This polycarbonate material offers exceptional clarity for reading flow rates while providing superior resistance to cracking or shattering if the cylinder is tipped or struck. The flowtube is further shielded by a one-piece cover, ensuring the internal scale remains protected from dust, debris, and physical impact common in automotive shops and garages. Flow Characteristics and Control

Accurate gas management is achieved through a precision needle valve located at the base of the flowmeter. This allows the operator to fine-tune the delivery rate with high sensitivity. The scale is marked for multiple gases, providing the following delivery ranges:

• Helium: 20 - 150 SCFH
• Carbon Dioxide: 5 - 40 SCFH
