The Victor 1000-0261 FM 137 Flowmeter is a robust gas measurement solution designed for the rigorous demands of industrial welding environments. Engineered as part of Victor's Heavy Duty series, this unit provides precise flow control for inert gases, specifically calibrated for Argon and Helium. Unlike standard regulators, this device is a dedicated flowmeter assembly intended for use with a regulated pressure source of 25 PSIG, making it ideal for piped shop environments or downstream of a pressure regulator.

Construction quality is a hallmark of the FM 137. The flow tube and outer cover tube are manufactured from impact-resistant Lexan, a material chosen for its ability to withstand the physical abuse common in heavy manufacturing and fabrication shops. This durability ensures that the scale remains readable and the unit remains functional even in severe applications. The design includes a back-pressure compensated mechanism, which ensures that flow readings remain accurate even if line restrictions occur downstream, a critical feature for maintaining consistent weld parameters.

Safety and performance are integrated into the design with a pressure-compensated system that addresses low surge requirements, reducing gas waste at the start of the weld. Additionally, the cover tube houses an overpressure protection mechanism. With a flow range of 15-65 SCFH for Argon and 40-200 SCFH for Helium, it covers the vast majority of MIG and TIG welding procedures.
