The Western Enterprises WESPF2-4-72 is a premium flexible pigtail assembly designed for the rigorous demands of industrial gas manifolds and high-pressure discharge systems. Engineered with a focus on safety and longevity, this assembly features a virgin PTFE (polytetrafluoroethylene) inner core. PTFE is chosen for its exceptional chemical inertness, ensuring that the hose does not contaminate the gas stream or degrade over time when exposed to various industrial gases. Unlike rubber hoses that can become brittle or porous with age, the PTFE lining maintains its integrity across a wide temperature range and resists moisture absorption.

Surrounding the inner core is a robust double braid manufactured from Type 304 Stainless Steel. This braiding serves two critical functions: it acts as a pressure containment vessel, allowing the hose to safely operate at pressures up to 3000 psig, and it provides significant mechanical protection against abrasion, cuts, and kinking in harsh industrial environments. The stainless steel construction ensures that the pigtail remains corrosion-resistant, maintaining a professional appearance and structural soundness even in humid or chemically active atmospheres.

This specific assembly is 72 inches (6 feet) in length, offering substantial flexibility in cylinder placement relative to the manifold header. The connections are 1/4" NPT, a standard size for many regulator bodies, wall blocks, and coupler fittings. Crucially, each unit is 100% tested and cleaned for oxygen service in accordance with CGA G-4.1 standards. This cleaning process removes all traces of hydrocarbons and oils, mitigating the risk of adiabatic compression ignition in oxygen-enriched environments. Each pigtail is individually poly-bagged to maintain this cleanliness until the moment of installation.
