The Miller Smith HBA-30510LP is a premium heavy-duty combination torch outfit engineered specifically for use with alternate fuels such as propane, LP, and natural gas. At the core of this system is Smith's renowned in-tip gas mixing technology. Unlike traditional torches that mix gases in the handle or tubes, this system keeps the oxygen and fuel gas separate until they reach the tip. This design drastically improves operator safety by minimizing the volume of mixed gas, thereby reducing the potential for flashback. The mixing occurs within the precision-engineered tip, ensuring optimal flame characteristics for cutting and heating applications.

Robust Construction and Design

The outfit includes the WH200A torch handle and the SC209 cutting attachment. The torch handle features a "tube-within-a-tube" design, which provides exceptional structural integrity while maintaining a manageable weight for the operator. Internal threads are protected from impact damage, and the stainless steel ball-style valves ensure positive, chatter-free seating. The SC209 cutting attachment utilizes a three-tube construction to keep gases separated and prevent mixing tube burnout. It is capable of cutting steel up to 8 inches (203 mm) thick when equipped with the appropriate tips.

Precision Regulation

Gas control is managed by the included Series 30 heavy-duty regulators. These regulators are built for reliability, featuring a durable neoprene composite diaphragm and a nickel-plated brass bonnet for corrosion resistance. The regulators are equipped with dual filters, including the Sure Seat™ system, to protect the high-pressure seat from debris. An external auto-resetting relief valve provides an added layer of safety by releasing excessive pressure surges. The 2-inch gauges are protected by shatter-resistant polycarbonate lenses, ensuring readability in harsh shop environments.

Complete Operational Kit

This comprehensive outfit comes ready to work with a 20-foot twin hose, friction lighter, safety glasses, and tip cleaner. It includes the SC40-1 cutting tip for material up to 5/8-inch thick and the ST615 heating tip for preheating and brazing applications. The slip-in tip design allows for rapid changes without the need for wrenches, and the Graf-Tite™ soft seats ensure a positive seal with hand-tightening, reducing thread wear and downtime.
