The Lincoln Electric Cougar™ Push-Pull Welding Gun (K2704-3) is a specialized tool designed to meet the rigorous demands of industrial aluminum fabrication. Engineered with a 300A rating at 60% duty cycle, this air-cooled gun provides the reliability and consistency required for production environments. The 50-foot (15.2 meter) cable assembly allows operators to work on large-scale projects, such as trailer manufacturing, boat building, and automotive fabrication, without constantly relocating the power source.

Precision Wire Feeding

Feeding soft aluminum wire over long distances is notoriously difficult with standard equipment. The Cougar's push-pull mechanism synchronizes the wire feed motor in the gun with the feeder at the machine, ensuring smooth, uninterrupted delivery of 0.035" to 1/16" wire. This system virtually eliminates bird-nesting and wire shaving, common issues that lead to downtime. The gun features a refined multi-turn potentiometer, allowing operators to make micro-adjustments to wire feed speed directly from the handle, enhancing process control without returning to the machine.

Lincoln Electric has designed the Cougar series for longevity. The abrasion-resistant cable cover protects power leads from the wear and tear of shop floors. The Posi-Seat™ gun barrel locking nut ensures a gas-tight seal, preventing porosity caused by air leaks.
