The Tweco 42-116-15 (Part Number 1420-1124) is a standard steel conduit liner designed for heavy-duty MIG welding applications. Part of the industry-standard 42 Series, this liner features an optimized outer diameter that ensures compatibility with a broad spectrum of Tweco MIG guns, including the Spray Master series (250, 350, 450) and the Classic Number 2, 3, and 4 air-cooled guns. It is specifically engineered to accommodate 1/16-inch (1.6 mm) welding wire, making it a critical component for structural and fabrication environments running larger diameter wires.

Constructed from high-grade spring steel wire, the conduit is wound to provide flexibility while maintaining crush resistance. The steel is zinc-plated, a surface treatment that significantly reduces the coefficient of friction between the liner ID and the welding wire. This reduction in drag is essential for maintaining consistent wire feed speeds and arc stability, particularly over the full 15-foot length.
