OVERVIEW

High-Performance Tapered Contact Tips for Tweco Style MIG Guns

The GEN14T-45 is a premium quality replacement contact tip designed to meet the rigorous demands of industrial MIG welding. Engineered to be fully compatible with Tweco No. 2, No. 3, and No. 4 series MIG guns, this contact tip is an essential consumable for fabricators using .045-inch (1.2 mm) welding wire. The tip features a tapered geometry, which reduces the front-end profile of the gun, allowing welders to access tighter joints and corners while maintaining optimal shielding gas coverage.

Manufactured from high-grade copper alloy tubing, these contact tips are machined to strict tolerances. The inside diameter is held to within +/- .003 inches, ensuring a consistent path for the welding wire. This precision minimizes micro-arcing inside the tip and promotes a stable arc transfer to the workpiece. The copper alloy construction provides excellent electrical conductivity and thermal transfer, helping the tip run cooler and last longer even during extended welding sessions up to 400 Amps.

Installation is straightforward thanks to the standard threaded base, which fits securely into Tweco 52, 52FN, and 54A gas diffusers. Each tip is clearly marked with the part number and wire diameter, simplifying inventory management and reducing the risk of installing the wrong size. Supplied in a convenient pack of 25, these tips ensure you have ample stock for high-volume production environments.
