The Walter Enduro-Flex ALU™ Blending Disc (SKU: 06U456) represents a significant advancement in abrasive technology for non-ferrous metals. Grinding and blending aluminum has traditionally been a challenge for metalworkers due to the material's tendency to melt and clog standard abrasive discs, a phenomenon known as loading. The Enduro-Flex ALU™ addresses this issue directly with a proprietary coating and a specialized zirconia alumina grain blend. This formulation prevents the buildup of soft metals between the abrasive grains, ensuring that the disc maintains a high removal rate and a consistent finish throughout its lifespan.

Designed for industrial efficiency, this 4-1/2" disc features a Grit 60 abrasive structure, ideal for medium stock removal and blending of weld seams. One of the standout features of the Enduro-Flex line is the Eco-Trim™ backing. Unlike traditional fiberglass backings that cannot be altered, the Eco-Trim™ backing is made from a trimmable plastic composite. As the abrasive material wears down to the edge of the backing, the operator can simply trim the plastic away, exposing fresh abrasive grain that would otherwise be discarded.
