The PFERD 45234 POLIFAN®-CURVE is a premium 5-inch flap disc engineered specifically for the demanding task of grinding fillet welds. Unlike conventional flap discs that primarily utilize the face or edge, the POLIFAN®-CURVE features a unique radial construction (special shape) that allows the abrasive flaps to contour perfectly into corners and tight geometries. This specific model features a Large (L) radius, optimized for fillet weld widths greater than 5/16" (8mm).

Constructed with high-performance Zirconia Alumina (Z) grain, this 40-grit disc delivers aggressive stock removal on both steel and stainless steel (INOX). The specialized configuration ensures that the disc wears evenly while maintaining its shape, significantly extending service life compared to standard discs used in similar applications. By enabling the operator to grind directly on the curve, it eliminates the need for rough grinding wheels in finishing applications and reduces process steps.
