The Western Enterprises 315 is a high-quality brass cylinder adaptor designed to facilitate the connection between compressed gas cylinders and regulators with differing CGA thread specifications. Specifically engineered for Acetylene gas service, this adaptor features a CGA-510 Male connection on the cylinder side and a CGA-520 Male connection on the regulator side. This configuration is essential for industrial environments where equipment versatility is required, allowing operators to bridge the gap between standard POL valve cylinders and equipment setup for ‘B’ tank connections.<\/p>\n
Constructed from solid brass, the model 315 ensures superior durability and resistance to corrosion, which is critical for maintaining safety in welding and laboratory applications. The unit is rated for a maximum inlet pressure of 500 PSIG, providing a robust safety margin for acetylene applications. The adaptor is machined with a 1-1\/8″ hex profile, allowing for secure tightening and removal using standard wrenches, ensuring a leak-tight seal without damaging the fitting. It is important to note that cylinder adaptors like the 315 are intended for temporary use to facilitate connections and should not be used as permanent installations in piping systems.<\/p>\n
