The Victor 0790-0242RP Knob Kit is a critical maintenance component designed specifically for the Victor Edge Series (ESS4) regulators. As a genuine OEM part, this kit ensures that your gas control equipment maintains the high standards of safety, precision, and durability that the Victor brand is known for. The kit features the distinctive green adjustment knob, which is universally color-coded to signify Oxygen service in accordance with CGA and industry safety standards. Maintaining the correct color coding on gas equipment is not merely a cosmetic concern; it is a fundamental safety protocol to prevent cross-connection and ensure operators can instantly identify gas lines in complex industrial environments.

The Victor Edge Series regulators revolutionized the industry with their user-friendly design and robust construction. However, in the demanding conditions of heavy fabrication, shipyards, and construction sites, external components like adjustment knobs can be subjected to extreme impact and wear. This replacement kit allows maintenance personnel and safety officers to repair a damaged regulator rather than replacing the entire unit, offering a cost-effective solution to extend the lifecycle of premium equipment. The knob is manufactured from a high-impact, industrial-grade polymer that resists cracking, fading, and chemical degradation, ensuring it stands up to the rigors of daily use.

Installation of the 0790-0242RP is straightforward, designed to fit the specific stem geometry of the ESS4 series. The ergonomic shape of the knob is engineered for optimal grip, allowing welders to make fine pressure adjustments even when wearing thick protective gloves. By replacing a broken or missing knob immediately, you restore the regulator’s SLAM (Safety, Life, Availability, Maintenance) protection, ensuring the internal stem is shielded from direct blows. This kit includes the necessary hardware to secure the knob firmly to the regulator body, preventing slippage during operation.
