The Techniweld TM981 18-Inch Locking C-Clamp with Swivel Pads is an essential tool for maintenance, repair, and operations (MRO) professionals who require reliable holding power for large or irregularly shaped objects. Constructed from high-grade heat-treated alloy steel, this tool is engineered to withstand the rigors of daily industrial use, providing a secure grip that resists slipping even under significant pressure.

One of the standout features of this model is its extended 18-inch length. This deep-reach design allows users to clamp materials that are far from the edge of the workpiece, bridging gaps that standard pliers simply cannot reach. Whether you are assembling cabinetry, securing metal framing, or performing automotive bodywork, the extra reach is invaluable for ensuring stability across wide spans.

The integrated swivel pads are a critical addition for versatility. Unlike fixed tips which can mar soft surfaces or slip off tapered edges, these pads self-adjust to the angle of the material. This ensures a flush contact area, distributing clamping force evenly and preventing damage to the workpiece surface. The classic locking mechanism is easily adjusted via a turn screw, allowing you to dial in the exact amount of pressure needed for the task at hand, while the guarded release trigger ensures safety and ease of removal.
